1. The cabinet must be opened for at least 5 minutes before starting biohazard work.
2. Operate the cabinet window frame in accordance with the manufacturer's design standards.
3. Do not work when the cabinet's ultraviolet light source is on.
4. Researchers should wear airtight lab coats (or surgical gowns) and gloves.
5. The gloves should overlap the cuffs of the lab coat or surgical gown.
6. According to good microbiological technology, carefully plan, start, wipe, load, work practice, purge, unload, wipe and shut down.
7. Before starting biohazard work, all required processing materials should be placed in the cabinet to minimize movement in and out.
8. Do not overload the safe area or block the front, side or rear air grilles, as this will reduce or restrict air circulation and endanger the product or personal protection.
9. All biohazard work should be at least four inches in front of the front grille of the cabinet.
10. When in use, the entrance door of the laboratory must be kept closed and the flow should be minimized.
11. When the biological safety cabinet is running, do not use electric fans indoors, as this will seriously affect the airflow of the equipment.
12. Develop procedures for collecting and decontaminating waste to avoid confusion and minimize movement in and out
13. At the end of each operation, please disinfect the cabinet with an appropriate disinfectant.
14. Regular use of 1-10% household bleach is acceptable in water, but chlorine is corrosive (if effective against chemicals, 70% ethanol or quaternary ammonium compounds can also be used).
15. All biological safety cabinets must obtain a certificate of use when installing, moving or repairing the equipment for the first time, and when using it once a year.
